NHS Blood Donor Centre, Leicester.

Appointed as principle contractor on this project we developed the space from the derelict offices to a modernised flagship blood donor centre and staff training facility.

We were able to demonstrate our understanding of the needs of a sensitive healthcare environment by providing flexibility and choice collaborating with our client fully to ensure the highest quality level of service.

About the project

We carried out major structural alterations, installed all MEP services including a full HVAC system in addition to new power, lighting and security system. The internal refurbishment involved fitting the new lightweight partitions as well as glass partitioning, ceilings, raised access floors, internal decorations, floor finishes, new windows, movable walls, supply and installation of all bespoke reception desks and specialist fittings and furniture.

"The Nucore team worked hard to assist and deliver our flagship Donor Centre in Leicester, which was a challenging project from the start to finish. A dedicated approach, openness and the ability to work with our NHS Blood and Transplant client team was one of its strongest attributes, which almost certainly contributed to the success of this scheme.

The quality of the finishes is an essential requirement for the delivery of a clinical facility. In this approach, the team managed to get the very best out of their workforce meaning that we could receive handover and operate within the building.

Thank you for your support and efforts received during this project. My team and I look forward to working with you again soon."
